First and foremost, welcome to Bulldawg Junction!
We hope you enjoy our site and we thought we would take a moment or two to discuss what you will find on our site.
Before we move on... any input from you guys is greatly appreciated and we always want to know what our fan base wants to see. Also keep in mind we are growing, please bear with us if any kinks come up from time to time during the early stages of this site.
Now to the good stuff and what you should expect to see.
We will obviously have top-notch coverage of Mississippi State athletics, whether it be the Bulldogs' March Madness run, updated info and inside features with student-athletes and coaches. Not only do we want to tell you who scored the most points, we also want to introduce you to the players scoring those points and their likes and dislikes on the college level.
We want to include all of the MSU sports on campus, ranging football to golf to tennis. If Mississippi State plays it... we will be there to keep you informed.
Yes, we will also touch on the recruiting scene, letting you know who the Bulldogs or Lady Bulldogs are after and what other schools are competing for the same prospects. We want to bring back the kids in the recruiting process. For far too long recruiting has become more about the process and not about the kids. We want our customers to know more about the prospects than just their time in the 40-yard dash and how many yards they gained as a junior in high school. We want you to feel like you know these young men and women.
Yes, we know that college sports is a business and with every passing season, it seems the recruiting process is becoming more and more like a business. But we have to remember these prospects are 16 or 17 or 18 year-old kids, people that are not ready for a business-type atmosphere just yet. We want to put the attention back on the kids being recruited and what they are like - on and off the playing field.
With that said, we vow to provide you with the most accurate and informative coverage. The goal isn't always to be first but to have the best information and different angles of certain situations. Sure, we'll break our share of stories...but not at the expense of being accurate or detrimental to the Bulldogs.
We hope you enjoy your stay at Bulldawg Junction and no doubt this is a great time to be a Bulldog supporter. We also hope ou enjoy the ESPN part of our website and the valuable information you can gain from a national perspective.
In the coming days you will see the site come alive with more information and new features. And again, please let us know what you think... what works best and what improvements are needed.
That's it for now...
GO DAWGS!
