77 Ferlando Bohanna LB 6-0 236 Memphis, TN (Whitehaven HS)
Bohanna is simply a tough and physical inside run stopper. Lacks great height and physical upside is limited but he is very stout, compact and thick, ready to make the jump to the next level from a physical standpoint. Appears very durable and can is difficult to out leverage with his low base, despite the fact that he plays high.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

80 Michael Carr ATH 6-1 195 West Point, MS (West Point HS)
Carr is a pretty dynamic guy who has excelled at corner, running back and also at quarterback as a run-first threat utilizing his open-field run skills. He is stoutly built with a good, compact frame and nice height. Looks like a safety or running back, which are likely his best fit at the next level. Offensively, he's shifty and quick. He runs low to the ground and has good change-of-direction skills.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

40 Blaine Clausell OL 6-7 300 Mobile, AL (Baker HS)
Already owns good size and displayed good footwork his past two years at left tackle. Needs to get stronger in the weight room and got that head start by enrolling at Mississippi State in January.
Quotes l What the Experts Think

40 Paul Crawford DL 6-8 230 Lewisville, TX Hebron HS
Considered a raw athlete who got his first shot at real playing time this past season. Was just 6-6 and 200 pounds as a junior and expected to continue to add weight at the next level.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

40 Dillion Day OL 6-5 265 West Monroe, LA (West Monroe HS)
Day is projected as either a guard or center at the next level. Has added 25 pounds since his junior season but needs another year to continue to add more weight. Displays mean streak on the field and can be too aggressive at times.
Quotes l What the Experts Think

78 Kaleb Eulls DL 6-3 239 Yazoo City, MS (Yazoo Cty HS)
Eulls has good size and can run well for a big man. He can be a load when he gets moving in a straight line and even though he is a defensive end prospect he takes snaps at quarterback in high school. He is no college quarterback, though he could be considered for a tight end/H-Back type in college, but that being said he will most likely land on the defensive line.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

71 Dylan Favre QB 5-11 185 Bay St. Louis, MS (Saint Stanislaus HS)
Its is a real shame this young man wasn't blessed with his uncle Brett's physical measurables because this is the only thing keeping this kid from being recruited by BCS level schools. Favre is like a clone of Kansas QB Todd Reesing, he may not weight as much as Reesing yet, but has the same height restrictions (if not more, Favre is really short for the position) and also has much of the same positives.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

76 Nick Griffin RB 5-11 196 New Augusta, MS (Perry Central HS)
Griffin is a strong between the tackles runner. Shows good power running ability; lowers his shoulder and knocks defenders backwards. This player has the size and enough playing speed for the running back position at the major level of competition. Runs from both the deep set and fullback spot; displays good quickness and vision.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

  40 Corvell Harrison-Gay LB/DE 6-3 240 Laurel, MS (Northeast Jones HS)
Starting linebacker the past two seasons but expected to play with his hand on the ground at Mississippi State. Displays a quick first step and instinct for the football and led his team with more than 100 tackles as a senior.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

80 Brandon Hill ATH 6-2 201 Columbus, MS (West Loundes HS)
Hill is a very talented defensive football player who doubles as a wide out, but there is no doubt he will play defense at the next level. He is a physically-impressive player that has excellent height and carries his weight easily. Possesses very good quickness and speed. A tremendous edge player that refuses to be blocked on perimeter runs, flare passes and sprint outs.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

40 Christian Holmes DB/LB 6-2 225 Puckett, MS Puckett HS
Played a variety of positions at the Class 2A level - wide receiver, tight end, linebacker, safety, placekicker, punter and kick returner. Expected to play outside linebacker at the college level. Solid leader on and off the field and played a part in helping Puckett reach back-to-back championship games.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

Jeff Howie OL/DL 6-3 320 Chester, PA (Itawamba CC (MS)
Howie showed glimpses of his future this year despite making the move to the defensive line. Dominated foes at times this past season and was one of the most physical players in the state. Clocked with 5.0 speed at 335 pounds and also displays strength (400-pound bench) with his good footwork.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

79 Chris Hughes DB 6-0 210 Mobile, AL (Davidson HS)
Hughes is a very active productive force on the defensive side of the ball. This guy has the size and playing speed for the safety position at the major level of competition. Lines up more as a strong safety, in the box as an inside linebacker; possess the athleticism to move from underneath to deep coverage showing good hip flexibility and closing speed.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

76 Jay Hughes ATH 5-11 175 Hattiesburg, MS (Oak Grove HS)
Hughes is a very solid running back with solid football skills. He has good size and shows elusiveness as a ball carrier. Runs the inside and outside zone scheme very well form the spread formation. Once he receives the handoff from the quarterback, glides along the line of scrimmage till the opening shows. Demonstrates the talent to bounce the football to the perimeter or cut it back inside to get vertical.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

78 Malcolm Johnson WR 6-2 205 Tuscaloosa, AL (Northridge HS)
A true sleeper in this wide receiver class, Johnson has good very size, hands and athleticism. Looks to still have a lot growing left on his taller, well-built frame and could develop into an H-back in the spread or even tight end; were his speed and hips may be better suited. Does a great job utilizing his size and wide catch-radius as a pass-catcher.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

78 Robert Johnson WR 6-1 195 Hattiesburg, MS (Oak Grove HS)
Johnson is a versatile and underrated athlete on offense who can move the chains effectively as a both a back and receiver. Rare to get a well-built, decisive between the tackles runner and elusive receiver with great shake all in one package. A guy spread offensive coordinators could get very creative with motioning in and out of the backfield. Productive one-cut-and-go slasher as a running back.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think l Video

74 Eric Lawson OL 6-6 320 Olive Branch, MS (Olive Branch HS)
Lawson has the size for the offensive guard position at the major level of competition. We see flashes of athleticism, balance and playing strength both in the run and passing game. This player looks flexible in his stance; will come off the ball a little too high when drive blocking but stays with the his blocks, shows good leg drive and base
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

40 Jeremy Lee ATH 5-10 180 Utica, MS (Hinds AHS)
Led team in rushing as a senior and also in interceptions. Expected to play corner at the next level and posted consistent 4.45 times in the 40. Showed excellant cover skills the past two years and change of direction.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

75 Jameon Lewis ATH 5-8 168 Tylertown, MS (Tylertown High School HS)
Lewis is an electrifying athlete with the ball in his hands and has the quickness and skill-set to play numerous positions in our eyes at the next level. His smaller size is the major issue when projecting for college and may be why he is currently falling under the radar. While short, he is tightly-bound and very fast-twitched; a tough, scrappy kid who does not shy away from contact and will compete.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

74 Jamerson Love DB 5-10 175 Aberdeen, MS (Aberdeen HS)
Love is a very well-rounded, natural runner with potentially a good blend of size and in-line quickness for a college back. Has promising body composition just needs to continue adding bulk and strength. Runs with a good base and balance. Very sturdy. Shows good foot-quickness and suddenness between the tackles finding and hitting the small cutback creases.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

78 Archie Muniz OL 6-5 265 Houston, TX (Cypress Creek HS)
Muniz is a very sound athletic football player. Possesses the height we like to see for the tackle position at the major level of competition. His frame should allow him to put on the bulk necessary for the collegiate level of play. Shows very good flexibility and initial quickness coming out of his stance; is explosive, can play with a flat back, good base and leg drive.
Quotes l What the Experts Think  l Video

81 Damien Robinson OL 6-8 315 Olive Branch, MS (Olive Branch HS)
Robinson is a raw but talented offensive lineman. He has excellent height and overall size for his position as an offensive tackle. Displays very good athleticism and foot quickness but plays a little high at times. Very intimidating and has a real physical presence on the field. Comes out of his stance with power and leads with the hands.
Quotes l What the Experts Think l Video

78 Curtis Virges DT 6-2 285 West Point, MS (West Point HS)
Virges comes across as a thickly built kid on film. He has a bit of an unorthodox stance as he is extremely crouched almost with his knees on the ground. It seems to help him come off the ball low, but also seems to hinder his ability to get off the ball quickly. He also tends to line-up off the ball and you would like to see him crowd the line more.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think l Video

77 Matthew Wells ATH 6-1 190 Monticello, MS (Lawrence County HS)
Wells is a two-way standout at the high school level but will most like get recruited to carry the rock in college. Has a very good frame and a taller body, which causes concern with proper body-tilt. He is compact with good thickness and a lot of room for continued physical development. As a running back he has lighter feet and good initial quicks for a near 200-pounder.

2009 December JUCO Signees

Vick Ballard RB 5-10 205 Pascagoula, MS (MGCCC)
Expected to add 10 or 15 pounds by the 2010 season to handle the physical play of the SEC. Shows surprising speed between the tackles. Also displayed consistent catching abilities and a good blocker on the edge. Expected to immediately challenge for his share of snaps this spring in Starkville.
Quotes l Statistics l What the Experts Think

James Carmon DL 6-6 365 Baltimore, MD (MGCCC)
With MSU's lack of bulk returning for 2010, Carmon is expected to aid as a run-stopper in the middle. Has solid footwork for his size. Overcame minor injuries to finish up the season on a high note.
