(Birmingham, Ala.) – The Signal Caller Foundation is pleased to announce their inaugural Golden Egg Golf Classic tournament will be played at the Tupelo Country Club. The Tupelo Country Club was chosen as the inaugural site due to it’s proximity between both the University of Mississippi and Mississippi State University.
“This event for me is a very personal one and is the realization of a dream,” said Wayne Madkin, Founder of the Signal Caller Foundation. “It is meant to be a fun time presenting the chance for us to reminisce about Egg Bowl’s past and make predictions for the ones to come.”
“This tournament is meant to bring the Egg Bowl rivalry to a golf tournament and benefit a great foundation,” said the Signal Caller Foundation’s Tournament Director John Bartell. “We are excited and hope to see both schools equally represented at the tournament.”

About the Signal Caller Foundation
The Signal Caller Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2006 by Wayne Madkin, the all-time winingest quarterback at Mississippi State University, with the mission to educate high school and college students and student athletes, on financial and personal wellness throughout their lives. The Foundation believes in educating our children for the competitive environment we live in today. Many of our students and student athletes are missing the blueprint to success after sports and graduation in their respective fields. Our plan is to help eliminate this disparity of knowledge by empowering all students to take control of their financial future and personal health. The Foundation brings educational programs throughout the southeast to students on leadership, public speaking, and public relations. Additional information about the Foundation may be found at www.signalcaller.org.
