JUNIOR COLLEGE:  
Earned second-team NJCAA All-American honors in 2011 to cap his two-year career Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Perkinston, Miss. • Coached by former MSU All-American pitcher Gary Rath • Paced the Bulldogs with a .430 batting average, tallying a team-best 49 hits and nine home runs • Drove in 28 runs and legged out eight doubles • First-team All-Region 23 and MACJC All-State selection • Selected team MVP for 2011 • Hit .379 as a freshman with 44 hits, 10 doubles, nine home runs and 36 RBI en route to second-team 2010 MACJC All-State and team Rookie of the Year honors.

Three-year starter as a first baseman and pitcher at East Central High School • Coached by Gary Lang • Earned first-team all-state honors in 2009 after leading the Hornets with a .434 batting average, 49 hits, 47 RBI and a .572 slugging percentage • Also compiled an 11-3 pitching record and earned Biloxi Sun Herald Pitcher of the Year honors in helping ESHC post a 12-0 district record • Fashioned a .367 batting average with 40 hits and 32 RBI on East Central’s 2008 state championship team • Pitched and went 5-for-5 at the plate in the championship game • Hit .364 with a career-best .584 slugging percentage as a sophomore in 2007 • Graduated with a 3.9 GPA and in the top 10 percent of his high school class • Played summer league baseball with the Gulf Coast Stars, coached by Neil Frederic.
